Five mysterious figures suddenly appear in the sky; one of them reveals himself as Fusion Zamasu, now wearing an eyepatch over his right eye. As the Soviet Union entered its seventh decade, these cities had become, in the full ethnic sense, the capitals of national states. After decades of silence, an urbanized population, the children of former peasants, inspired by a dissident nationalism, now poured into the streets.

Armenians began the wave of mass nationalist mobilizations in the Soviet Union in mid February , when they marched, with exemplary discipline, first in Stepanakert Karabakh and then in Erevan. When news came of the killing of an Azerbaijani near Karabakh, young Azerbaijanis rampaged through Sumgait attacking Armenians. Yet from its inception the Karabakh conflict was a layered problem—in part structured by quite separate religious and cultural allegiances, in part based on the uneven social and political development of Armenians and Azerbaijanis.

A nationalist struggle for recovery of ethnic irredenta was combined with a broader movement for political reform and ecological survival. As complex and obscure as the causes of the battles of Armenians and Azerbaijanis, and later the Georgians and Abkhaz, might be for Western observers; however deep their historical roots; these first—and to date, most intractable—nationality wars can be understood as the conscious responses of individuals and groups with definite ideas of their interests, their enemies, and the dangers that face their nation.

Consequences can even happen to those avengers due to their actions, that's something you can't tell me it won't happen, because it will, it has the potential to make it happen, all it takes is people affected by your actions to take action. The idea that revenge does NOT make you feel good is a false idea, a lie told by priests, preachers, other white lighting fools, and psychologists whose whole knowledge of the real world is confined to their offices and their books.

Afghanistan: The price of revenge | US & Canada | Al Jazeera

It is a lie told by those who oppress others to keep from paying the price of their oppression,. Revenge only serves a fleeting feeling and that's it, but something's telling me that it's never that easy to just take revenge and walk away thinking that nothing can happen to you. Depending on the person, he could make your life a living hell if he wants revenge on you bad enough after you've taken revenge on his. I think it depends on the situation and the possibility of how bad it could be.

Maybe you're right and he won't do anything to you, but I've met and talked to people, some people would tell you differently. Maybe those guys who you've claimed to tell lies, aren't telling lies after all, because what can stop someone that you've taken revenge upon to deal you back the same favor, but make it worse? If he's alive, how bad does he want the payback. Humiliation or death by his hands? Most people died for even less these days. If said guy ever finds out, if he wanted payback badly, then he'll find a way. Or maybe he'll move on.

Agree with you.

The Revenge of the Past: Socialism and Ethnic Conflict in Transcaucasia

Many of these people making comments have not suffered enough, I have. Two people ruined my life. Literally, And Justice failed me. So what good can I take from the fact that my "Best Friend" committed adultery with my wife, ruined our happy relationship my wife and I! I don't know, but if that guy puts the pieces together, and wants revenge on you bad. I'd say he'll do what he can to make sure it happens. You can't underestimate people, even when they got dealt with. Maybe things have ensure he can't do anything to you.

You better hope he doesn't come back into your life again. Oh he didn't have to work it out! I was completely visible when I went to his home and talked to his wife and daughter. We need to understand how events create the need for revenge. I think in this case we have a situation where the participants cannot back away from the event. I feel when a person is seeking revenge, they already have some investment in their present position and feel obligated to remain in that position. This then sets up many past and now present experiences where a person may feel, as perhaps occurred in the past, another person in some position may be taking advantage of their need in that area through various words, actions, money, etc.

When we redefine average stress more correctly as many "maintained layers of mental work -unresolved mental conflicts which remain in our minds" we can then see how layers of mental work from many areas of our life can accumulate to create "high maintained layers of average stress reaching toward a limit".
